A BLOG FOR RESPONSIBLE DOG GUARDIANSHIP

This blog has a solely informative purpose, intended to support responsible, devoted and loving dog guardians (kahus).

It is not medical advice - nothing can replace a veterinary consult and subsequent treatment.

If your dog is under medical treatment or has a diagnosis that requires it, any advice should be used only with your veterinarian's approval.

The author is not to be held responsible for the reader who chooses to self-medicate his/her dog.

    Lady Maza and her kahu

No one actually warns you that a dog can become the greatest love of your life.

This unconditional, glorious, everyday, forever and ever kind of love slowly and quietly rearranges your entire world and changes you.

Saying "pet owner" just doesn't seem right as being a guardian of a creature so beyond pure and precious is far too great of a privilege- hence kahu.

Maza, my soulmate dog and greatest gift, gifted me with the privilege of being her kahu for almost 15 years, during which she enjoyed a fulfilled, vibrant, cuddly & healthy life.

This blog is my soul therapy as it allows me to somehow continue living in MazaLand as life is so much prettier with Her.

    With love,

    Ivana, Maza's kahu

    Wholistic Dog Guardianship

    Educational blog for kahus

These educational posts are a heart-to-heart gift to responsible, devoted and loving dog guardians (kahus) - to empower you in your own KahuLand. Anything less than eternity with Them is too short, so this is my gift to you to nourish your four-pawed angel to the best of your ability.

This is also my ode to DVMs, for their expertise, love, kindness and care. Thanks to Maza, I was privileged to meet the best vets who are also the rare kind of human beings that undoubtedly make this world a better place.

  • Maza's heroes- and mine!

Silent and unsung, not only the best experts on a global scale, but the best human beings we were gifted with and to whom I'll be eternally grateful!

Each with their own specialty, they are all so much more than doctors of veterinary medicine...

Then there were her beloved MFR therapist, aromatherapist, groomer and just people that adored her as much as she adored them..

With endless gratitude to Dr. Pitcairn

    DVM and veterinary homeopath

This true gem of book kicked off my natural health for dogs journey when Maza was only a year old. In almost 14 years now, it never failed me. This detailed guide literally covers everything a responsible kahu should know. To me personally, Dr. Pitcarin's advice was of tremendous help not only in times of crisis but throughout Maza's life.
